How the class roles work

AION 2 is built on the classic MMORPG trinity, with both factions sharing the same eight classes. Two hold the line: the Templar is the pure vanguard tank, while the Gladiator is a bruiser that mixes frontline durability with sustained AoE damage. Four deal damage: Assassin and Ranger handle physical damage from stealth melee and long range, while Sorcerer and Spiritmaster cover magic — one burst elemental artillery, the other spirits and damage-over-time attrition. Two support the backline: the Cleric is the dedicated healer with triage and revives, and the Chanter weaves offensive mantras with melee support.
