The best weapons in Modern Warfare 4 are the M4, Kastov 762, ISO Nightshade and Oris 8.6 — the S-tier picks that top the meta. Just below them, the X-58 NYX, KG-7 Vulcan, Patriot XMR, Rezi 12 and Signal 50 make up a strong A tier.
Here is the MW4 weapon tier list, how we ranked it, and the best weapon in each class.
MW4 weapon tier list
Modern Warfare 4 weapons ranked by current strength across multiplayer.
| Tier | Weapons | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| S | M4, Kastov 762, ISO Nightshade, Oris 8.6 | The absolute meta — pick these to win |
| A | X-58 NYX, KG-7 Vulcan, Patriot XMR, Rezi 12, Signal 50 | Strong and fully viable in any mode |
| B | Most remaining ARs, SMGs and snipers | Workable, but outclassed by the tiers above |
How we ranked them
This tier list ranks Modern Warfare 4 weapons on how reliably they win gunfights in multiplayer — weighing time-to-kill, range control, handling and how forgiving each gun is. The MW4 meta rewards fast kills and strong range, so the S tier is packed with high-velocity assault rifles, an aggressive SMG and a sniper-like marksman rifle. The A tier is deep and every weapon in it is competitive. Only the lower tiers fall off. These rankings reflect the live launch meta after the 23 October 2026 release, and they’ll shift with each balance patch and the Season 1 update on 6 November.
