Where To See Santa In Edinburgh This Year
Edinburgh’s Christmas Santa Grotto – 2026 Bookings Now Live
Listen to a story read by Santa from 20 November to 24 December 2026 at the grotto at West Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh (near Ross Fountain, EH1 2EU).
Sessions last 20 minutes and can accommodate up to 22 children. Tickets from £7.50 per child (includes one accompanying adult); additional adults £6–£7. EH postcode holders get 20% off.
Each child will have the chance to meet Santa and receive a gift.
Tickets are time allocated.

Brewhemia – 2026 Bookings Now Live
Party and event central Brewhemia (1A Market Street, EH1 1DE) is putting on a number of festive events for wee and big kids. The Sleighbell Santa Brunch runs Sun 29 Nov, Sun 6, 13, 20 Dec plus Mon 21–Thu 24 Dec in the Beer Palace — includes a Christmas film, family brunch, and a group visit to Santa’s grotto with photo ops. Sunday Family Feasting (roast with all the trimmings + elves + grotto visit) runs Sun 29 Nov, 6, 13, 20 Dec.
In December, the Beer Palace is dedicated to family time, delicious festive food, entertainment, and Santa Claus.

Cold Town House – 2026 Bookings Now Live
Breakfast with Santa returns to Cold Town House’s rooftop terrace (4–6 Grassmarket, EH1 2JU) from 5 to 21 December 2026. For £16 per person you get breakfast (pancakes for kids, hot drink for adults), a meet & greet with Santa, a special gift for each child, and plenty of photo opportunities on the rooftop terrace. While you can’t get gassed on the Grassmarket, you can have a gas with Mr Claus in December.

Dobbies Edinburgh – 2026 Bookings Now Live
The Dobbies Edinburgh Santa’s Grotto (Melville Nursery, Lasswade, EH18 1AZ) returns from 22 November to 24 December 2026. Step into a North Pole village filled with Christmas fun. Children walk through Santa’s toy shop, help pack toys in the sleigh, and meet the man himself for a gift. Tickets from £15–£17. Ocean Terminal, Leith – 2026 Bookings Now Live
Santa is making a stop down by the docks! The Santa’s Grotto at Ocean Terminal (Leith, EH6 5NG) runs from 4 to 24 December 2026. Tickets cost £6.50 per child and include an age-appropriate gift; adults go free. Sessions are 5-minute time slots (max 2 adults + 3 children per slot) and must be booked online in advance. Relaxed sessions with extra time for kids with additional needs are available on select dates.

Royal Botanic Garden – 2026 Bookings Now Live
Christmas at the Botanics returns for 2026 (19 November – 30 December) as a stunning illuminated trail through the Royal Botanic Garden (Arboretum Place, EH3 5NZ). Time slots start from 4:15pm. While Santa has appeared at the trail in previous years, the 2026 programme focuses on the light installations and projections.

Craigies Farm, Queensferry – 2026 Bookings Now Live
Craigies Farm (South Queensferry) presents “Santa, We’ve Shrunk the Reindeer!” for November – December 2026. Children become Junior Reindeer Rangers on a magical adventure that builds to a group visit with Santa in his workshop. Every child receives a gift and photo opportunity. South Queensferry.

Santa returns to Carberry Tower Mansion House and Estate (Musselburgh, EH21 8RA) for Christmas 2026. Dates: 8, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 23 & 24 December. The Conifox Christmas Experience (Kirkliston, EH29 9ER) returns for 2026 on 29 Nov, 5–6, 12–13, 19–20, 23–24 December. Collect stamps on your Christmas Passport, walk through Winter Wonderland, visit Santa in his living room, decorate cookies with Mrs Claus, and enjoy snowball fights and Reindeer Flying School. Archerfield Walled Garden (North Berwick) hosts The Santa Experience from 28 November to 23 December 2026 (selected dates: 28–29 Nov, 4–6, 11–13, 19–23 Dec). New for 2026: Elf Academy with Santa’s elves Dudley and Dooley entertains children before their visit to Santa’s cosy Christmas Cabin. Each 30-minute session includes posting a letter into the enchanted Wishing Well. Child tickets £24 + booking fee; adults £5. Quieter shows available on select dates for children with additional needs.
Santa will tell the group a story and invite families to collect gifts at his sorting office.

Edinburgh Zoo (Corstorphine Road, EH12 6TS) offers two Santa experiences in December 2026. The Festive Grotto runs on selected days from 5 to 24 December (10:20am–3:30pm) inside the Budongo Trail building. Tickets are £18 for 1 child, £33 for 2, £49 for 3, £66 for 4 (plus booking fee). Five Sisters Zoo (Gavieside, West Calder, EH55 8P) offers a Santa’s Grotto Experience during their Christmas Illuminations event (20 November to 23 December 2026). Each visit includes 5 minutes with Santa and a small gift per child. Santa tickets cost £16–£17 per child and must be booked separately from the illuminations entry. The grotto is located outside the main zoo in the car park. ASN (additional support needs) evenings available on select dates.
