How ratings work
Every Madden player gets an overall rating (OVR) from 0 to 99, built from dozens of individual attributes — speed, throw power, catching, tackling and more — weighted by position. A 99 overall is the ceiling, reserved each year for a handful of the league’s very best after a standout real-world season. In Madden 27 that “99 Club” is six players, spanning quarterback, wide receiver, tight end and edge rusher. EA updates ratings weekly through the season based on real NFL performances, so these numbers move as the 2026 campaign plays out.
