GTA 6’s First Six Radio Stations Promise the Series’ Biggest Soundtrack Yet

2 November 2026 · 4 min read · News

Six stations. Eighteen licensed tracks. Roughly twelve minutes of DJ banter. That is what Rockstar has handed fans of Grand Theft Auto 6 so far — and if the previews are any indication, the car stereos of Leonida are about to become some of the best-curated in the series’ history.

With the game launching on 19 November, Rockstar pulled back the curtain on its first batch of radio stations back on 8 October, complete with audio previews on the official website. The studio has promised “the biggest and widest-ranging selection of in-game radio yet”, spanning everything from classic rock to talk radio — and the six revealed so far already run from Slayer to Bad Bunny to Lana Del Rey.

Six Stations, Eighteen Songs — and More to Come

The previewed line-up covers an unusually wide spread: Latin station Cocoteo FM, renegade country outpost Back Country Radio, African music hub AfroBANK FM, metal channel The Chamber 106.6, pop mainstay Flash FM, and southern hip-hop destination Dirty South Classics.

Fans picking through the clips identified 18 songs across the six stations, three per channel. The Chamber goes straight for the pit with Black Sabbath’s “I”, Pantera’s “I’m Broken” and Slayer’s “Raining Blood”. Flash FM leans on Charli xcx’s “Good Ones”, MGMT’s “Electric Feel” and a Zara Larsson and PinkPantheress collaboration, “Midnight Sun (Girls Trip)”. Cocoteo FM features Bad Bunny’s “EoO”, while Dirty South Classics digs into regional classics like David Banner’s “Like A Pimp” and DJ Khaled’s “Born N Raised”, stacked with Trick Daddy, Rick Ross and Pitbull.

Back Country Radio brings Hank Williams Jr. and Waylon Jennings’ “The Conversation” alongside Loretta Lynn, while AfroBANK FM ranges from Asake’s “Joha” to amapiano and 3-step cuts. Rockstar has not confirmed how many stations will exist at launch, and the 18 tracks are preview evidence rather than full playlists.

“Grand Theft Auto VI players will experience the biggest and widest-ranging selection of in-game radio yet.”

Metal, Bachata and Lana Del Rey: Meet the Hosts

The voice talent is where this reveal gets genuinely interesting. Each station comes with a presenting duo, and the reported names behind them read like a fever dream of casting: Bad Bunny and RaiNao behind Cocoteo’s El Martillo and La Gata, and Slayer’s Kerry King and Tom Araya reportedly voicing The Chamber’s DJ Kerry and DJ Tom.

The standout is Back Country Radio, hosted by MW and Delta Dawne — reported to be Morgan Wallen and Lana Del Rey, with Del Rey’s husband Jeremy Dufrene appearing as roving swamp character Mud Dog Mike. Trick Daddy and Trina bring southern hospitality to Dirty South Classics, while Burna Boy and Palms Trax have been linked to AfroBANK FM’s Burna and Palmsy.

Flash FM Returns to Vice City

For long-time fans, the most nostalgic name on the list is Flash FM. The pop station has been a Vice City institution since 2002, and its return for the Leonida era — with Swedish pop icon Robyn co-hosting alongside model-turned-presenter Alex Consani — bridges nearly 25 years of the series’ satire.

It follows a lineage that made GTA 5’s Non-Stop Pop FM, hosted by Cara Delevingne, a fan favourite. Rockstar clearly views its radio hosts as part of the world-building, not garnish, and the duo format across all six stations suggests plenty of back-and-forth banter between tracks.

Podcasts and On-Foot Listening: What’s New

Beyond the music, GTA 6 introduces two series firsts. On-demand podcasts will be available on the in-game radio for the first time, reflecting how people actually consume audio in 2026. And protagonists Jason and Lucia can listen to stations and podcasts on foot, using headphones and earbuds connected to their in-game phones.

Key point: The 18 identified songs come from short preview clips — not full playlists. Rockstar says more stations and music will be revealed before launch.

When Can You Tune In?

Audio previews for all six stations are live now on Rockstar’s official website, with singles and album links pointing to Spotify, Apple Music and other streaming services. The full picture arrives with the game itself on 19 November, when players can finally judge whether The Chamber’s metal selection lives up to its Slayer-voiced hosts.

Given Rockstar’s track record — from Vice City’s eighties time capsule to GTA 5’s genre-spanning curation — the odds are good that Leonida’s airwaves will be stuck in players’ heads long after the credits roll. Which station are you locking in first?
