The MW4 and Warzone Season 1 battle pass costs 1,100 COD Points for 100 tiers, and it is unusually generous for free players: the Cronen Osprey assault rifle (tier 16) and CSG-35 SMG (tier 36) are free base weapons on the pass, no premium purchase required. Premium owners also get a day-50 catch-up system, weapon blueprints at tiers 73 and 87, and the headline tier-100 Bellum Ultra Mosin-Nagant blueprint. The optional BlackCell upgrade adds seven Operator skins and seven blueprints and refunds 1,100 CP.
Here is the full Season 1 battle pass breakdown: the key tiers and what sits on them, the rewards actually worth climbing for, how BlackCell and the catch-up work, and the value math on whether the 1,100-CP pass pays for itself. Figures are drawn from Activision’s battle pass reveal and launch coverage (Dexerto, GameSpot, timesaver.gg, mypandaplay), as of 2 November 2026; Season 1 goes live 6 November.

BlackCell explained
BlackCell is the premium-plus tier, and it stacks on top of the standard pass rather than replacing it. For Season 1 it adds seven Operator skins and seven weapon blueprints — including dedicated BlackCell variants of the CSG-35 and Cronen Osprey — plus the BlackCell Operator (reported as “XERO”) and the usual vault-style bonus content. The important mechanic is the refund: if you already bought the 1,100-CP battle pass and then upgrade to BlackCell, you’re refunded 1,100 COD Points, so you don’t pay twice for the base pass. That makes the decision cleaner than it looks — buying the standard pass first and upgrading later costs the same as buying BlackCell outright, so there’s no penalty for starting cheap and deciding on BlackCell once you’ve seen the skins in-game.

Is it worth 1,100 CP?
The value case rests on three numbers. First, the CP return: like recent CoD passes, the Season 1 track hands back roughly 1,000–1,300 COD Points as you climb, so a player who completes all 100 tiers earns back close to the 1,100-CP purchase price — the pass is near self-funding if you finish it. Second, the free weapons: the Cronen Osprey and CSG-35 don’t require premium at all, so the paid pass is really buying blueprints, cosmetics, the CP return and the catch-up, not weapon access. Third, the catch-up: the day-50 system means late buyers aren’t punished, which lowers the risk of buying. Put together: if you play enough to finish the pass, 1,100 CP is close to free in practice; if you only dip in, skip premium and grind the two free guns. BlackCell at 2,400 CP (with the 1,100-CP refund applied) is the cosmetics-and-Operator play for people who want the XERO skin set.
