Modern Warfare 4 and Warzone Season 1 launches on Friday, 6 November 2026. Activision’s Call of Duty blog points to a 00:00 ET go-live — 21:00 PT on 5 November, 05:00 GMT and 07:00 Kyiv on the 6th. It is the largest update since MW4’s 23 October launch: the full Warzone integration with shared progression, two new Warzone maps (Zodiac Resurgence and Hajin Battle Royale), a new DMZ map (X01), and a 100-tier battle pass (1,100 CP) carrying two free weapons — the Cronen Osprey AR and CSG-35 SMG.
Here is the full breakdown: the exact start time in every region, a line-by-line list of what’s new (with what is officially confirmed versus reported), how the Warzone integration actually changes your progression, and the pre-season and mid-season roadmap. Data is drawn from Activision’s official roadmap (posted 14 October 2026) and blog, plus launch coverage from Dexerto, GameSpot and dot esports, as of 2 November 2026. Some Season 1 specifics were still pre-launch at the time of writing.

The Warzone integration
The defining change of Season 1 is that Warzone becomes part of the MW4 ecosystem rather than a separate app with its own economy. From the season start, your battle pass and seasonal progression are shared: the 100 tiers you climb apply across both multiplayer and the free-to-play battle royale, so the Cronen Osprey you unlock at tier 16 is usable in Warzone too. That matters because it removes the old split where each title tracked its own weapons and progress. Warzone itself stays free-to-play, and the Season 1 map pool is substantial: the new Zodiac (Resurgence, with its train) and Hajin (Battle Royale) join returning staples Verdansk (big map) and Rebirth Island (Resurgence). The one hard cost is platform: PS4 and Xbox One Warzone support ends with the Season 1 update, so last-gen players need current-gen hardware or PC to continue. That is the single most consequential line in the patch for a large slice of the player base, and it is confirmed, not reported.

Pre-season dates & what comes later
Season 1 didn’t arrive cold — a pre-season run of modes led into it, and more content lands after launch. The confirmed pre-season and in-season beats are below.
| Date (2026) | Event | Type |
|---|---|---|
| 27 October | Shipment map returns | Pre-season |
| 29 October | Possession mode | Pre-season |
| 30 October | Infected mode | Pre-season |
| 6 November | Season 1 + Warzone integration | Season launch |
| Tier 16 (S1) | Cronen Osprey AR unlocks (free) | Battle pass |
| Tier 36 (S1) | CSG-35 SMG unlocks (free) | Battle pass |
| Tier 100 (S1) | Bellum Ultra Mosin-Nagant blueprint | Battle pass |
| Mid-season | JAK 12 shotgun + ZLR Talonhawk axe (events) | In-season |
Expect the standard mid-season refresh — typically around the halfway mark of a two-month season — to layer on further maps, modes and limited-time events, with the JAK 12 shotgun and ZLR Talonhawk melee axe arriving through in-season events rather than the pass itself. The 100-tier battle pass with its day-50 catch-up means there’s a long runway of unlocks rather than a single launch-day dump, so there’s no need to grind it all in week one. We track each mid-season addition as Activision details it.
