Crocs have exactly 13 holes in them. A Yu-Gi-Oh Reptile Normal Monster has 1300 ATK and 1300 DEF. Its flavour text reads: “Thirteen stripes on its belly. Thirteen holes on its feet.” If that level of self-aware absurdity sounds like the best thing you’ve heard all week, the Yu-Gi-Oh x Crocs collaboration was made specifically for you.
Konami unveiled the collection at the Kaiba Corporation Store pop-up in Ariake Garden, Tokyo, ahead of the Yu-Gi-Oh World Championship 2026, which runs from 28 to 30 August. The four-pair collaboration marks the first-ever link-up between the trading card franchise and the Colorado footwear brand — and it is, predictably, brilliantly over the top.
Four Clogs, Two Duelists, Two Monsters
The collection splits across two silhouettes: the Classic Clog and the chunkier Echo Clog. Two pairs in each style bring a total of four character-inspired designs to the drop.
On the Classic Clog side, Yami Yugi and Seto Kaiba each get their own colourway. Yugi’s pair leans into the blue-and-yellow palette of his signature outfit, with the Millennium Puzzle suspended on a chain across the forefoot — a detail that should send a certain generation of fans into immediate nostalgia. Kaiba’s Classic Clog goes white, black, and burgundy, with a locket shaped like the back of a Duel Monsters card as its defining flourish. Co-branded detailing runs across the footbeds of both pairs.
The Echo Clogs take a different approach, handing the spotlight to the duelists’ signature monsters. The Dark Magician pair leans into purple and adds a fabric shroud for extra drama. The Blue-Eyes White Dragon Echo Clog keeps its palette exactly where you’d expect: blue and white, clean and iconic.
Every pair comes loaded with themed Jibbitz charms. Additional Yu-Gi-Oh Jibbitz shown at the pop-up include Kuriboh, Red-Eyes Black Dragon, Dark Magician Girl, and Joey Wheeler — enough to customise well beyond the core four designs.
The Strangest Card in the Game
Here’s where the collaboration stops being a footwear story and becomes something far weirder. Konami created an entirely new promotional Yu-Gi-Oh card for the occasion: a Level 3 LIGHT Reptile Normal Monster called Crocodile, catalogue number CRC1-EN001.
The card’s artwork depicts a smiling anthropomorphic crocodile waving cheerfully while wearing a pair of white Crocs. Its ATK and DEF are both 1300 — a number that is not coincidental. Crocs have 13 holes. The flavour text, published by YGOrganization, begins: “Thirteen stripes on its belly. Thirteen holes on its feet.” The rest describes a creature that appears wherever people express themselves without hesitation, which maps neatly onto Crocs’ whole brand identity.
“Thirteen stripes on its belly. Thirteen holes on its feet.” — Crocodile (CRC1-EN001), Normal Monster flavour text
As a Normal Monster, Crocodile has no card effects, so its appeal is purely collectible. Given the CRC1-EN001 set code and the sheer novelty of a branded crossover card, it may well be the most sought-after item from the entire collection. There is just one catch: Konami has not confirmed whether the Crocodile promo will be included with every pair of Yu-Gi-Oh Crocs, or distributed separately.
Worth noting: Konami has not confirmed how the Crocodile promo card (CRC1-EN001) will be distributed. Do not assume a copy will ship automatically with your purchase.
From Cup Noodles to Catwalk
The Yu-Gi-Oh x Crocs collection is the second unusually tangible crossover Konami has pulled off in 2026. Earlier this year, the company partnered with Nissin to turn its Instant Fusion spell card into an actual Cup Noodle product — a stunt that went considerably more viral than any standard merchandise announcement would have.
The Ariake pop-up also gave a glimpse of other merchandise in development that leans just as deep into TCG fandom. Among the pieces shown was Bandit Keith’s Vest — a jacket with 12 specialised pockets, each designed to function as a card deck box. There is also an oversized Yu-Gi-Oh card backpack in the works. Neither has a confirmed release date yet, but both suggest Konami is leaning hard into the idea that Yu-Gi-Oh merchandise should be as playable as it is wearable.
Release Date, Prices, and Where to Buy
The Yu-Gi-Oh x Crocs collaboration launches on 1 September 2026 through Crocs.com and select retailers, in unisex sizing across all four designs.
Pricing breaks down as follows:
- Classic Clog “Yami Yugi” — $70 (style code 213589-90H)
- Classic Clog “Seto Kaiba” — $90 (style code 213590-90H)
- Echo Clog “Dark Magician” — $70 (style code 213591-90H)
- Echo Clog “Blue-Eyes White Dragon” — $90 (style code 213732-90H)
Konami has not yet issued an official press release, so the above pricing and date — sourced from early retailer listings — remain subject to change. The World Championship runs through 30 August, so a formal announcement is likely to follow once the event wraps in Japan.
