Ninety-nine screenshots. That is now the count on Rockstar’s official GTA 6 media page — and with the game’s 19 November launch just 11 weeks away, the marketing engine is running at full speed. The latest additions dropped on 31 August, and while many of the images are higher-quality versions of shots fans have already seen, three of them appear to be genuinely new — and those three have dominated the conversation ever since.
The Three Screenshots Fans Are Obsessing Over
The first of the new images puts character customisation squarely in focus. Lucia, one of GTA 6’s two playable protagonists, is shown decked out with piercings, fresh ink, and swept-down bangs, while Jason sports slicked-back hair and new facial hair beside her. It is the most detailed look yet at what the game’s personal styling options might actually offer — and the contrast between both characters confirms that the customisation system extends meaningfully to each of them.
The second image caused a particular stir among players familiar with Florida’s coastline. The shot depicts two towering seaside condos in Vice City — and residents were quick to identify them as a near-exact recreation of Miami’s Two Tequesta Point towers. It is not the first time eagle-eyed fans have mapped real-world Miami landmarks onto Grand Theft Auto 6’s open world, but the level of architectural fidelity on display here is striking. Rockstar has clearly gone to considerable lengths to ground Vice City in a recognisable, lived-in version of its real-life inspiration.
The third screenshot is, predictably, the most discussed. Jason and Lucia appear to be standing over someone who has just had a very bad day. Whether it is a mission climax, a cutscene moment, or something else entirely, the image raises more questions than it answers — which is, of course, exactly how Rockstar likes it.
Vice City’s Real-World Fidelity on Display
Much of the broader 99-image gallery covers terrain fans have explored before — vehicles, open-world vista shots, and promotional imagery tied to the Ultimate Edition bonuses announced back in June. But even re-released images are arriving in higher resolution than previously available, and the cumulative effect is striking. The coastal high-rises, the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers’ wetlands, the strip-club sprawl of Port Gellhorn — all of it is looking sharper with each new batch.
There was also a quieter but significant detail this week: a GTA Online pre-order tab appeared inside GTA V, signalling that the transition from the old game to the new one is now an active, ongoing commercial process. Rockstar hasn’t explicitly confirmed the shape of GTA Online for GTA 6, but players are watching every signal closely.

What the Customisation System Is Shaping Up to Be
The screenshots featuring Jason and Lucia’s wardrobes and hairstyles are more than fan service. They suggest a customisation system with real depth — distinct looks that alter how each protagonist presents across missions and cutscenes, not just surface-level cosmetic options. Outfits, ink work, facial hair, and jewellery all feature, hinting at a level of personal expression the Grand Theft Auto series hasn’t previously offered to this degree.
It is a meaningful shift. In earlier GTA titles, appearance customisation was limited or applied to a single protagonist. GTA 6 is built around two playable characters, and the visual evidence from these screenshots suggests both Jason and Lucia will have their own distinct palettes to work with. For long-time fans of the franchise, that alone is worth paying attention to.
Release confirmed: GTA 6 launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on 19 November 2026. Take-Two’s CEO has indicated the marketing spend makes any further delay effectively impossible.
The Countdown Is On
GTA 6 has been delayed twice — from an initial 2025 window to May 2026, and then again to November. That history has made fans understandably cautious about getting too excited too early. But the signals this week suggest the final stretch is well and truly under way. The 27-minute Extended Look premiered on Netflix on 27 August and was followed almost immediately by this new batch of screenshots. More trailers are reportedly in the pipeline.
Thirteen years since GTA V first launched on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the wait for its successor is now measurable in weeks rather than years. For the gaming community, these screenshots are not just promotional material — they are confirmation that the finish line is in sight.
