GTA 6 comes in two editions: the Standard Edition at $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition at $99.99. Both include the full base game with an identical single-player story — nothing is cut from Standard — while the $20 Ultimate upgrade adds 16 exclusive extras like vehicles, weapons, shops and side missions.
Here is a breakdown of GTA 6’s price and editions, what each one includes, and which is worth buying.
GTA 6 price & editions
The two GTA 6 editions side by side.
| Edition | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Edition | $79.99 | The full base game and complete single-player story |
| Ultimate Edition | $99.99 | Everything in Standard plus the 16-item Ultimate upgrade |
| Ultimate Upgrade | Sold separately | Standard owners can buy the extras on their own later |

What each edition includes
Both editions contain the full base game, and crucially the single-player experience is identical — there is no story content locked behind the Ultimate Edition. Pre-ordering either one also gets you the same two bonuses: the Vintage Vice City Pack and one month of GTA+ membership. The difference is purely the Ultimate Edition Upgrade, a bundle of 16 extra in-game items worth the $20 jump for players who want more toys from day one. If you’re unsure, you can always start on Standard and buy the upgrade later.
The Ultimate Edition extras
