MW4 Season 1 Battle Pass: All Rewards, Free Weapons & BlackCell (2026)

2 November 2026 · 6 min read · Gaming

The MW4 and Warzone Season 1 battle pass costs 1,100 COD Points for 100 tiers, and it is unusually generous for free players: the Cronen Osprey assault rifle (tier 16) and CSG-35 SMG (tier 36) are free base weapons on the pass, no premium purchase required. Premium owners also get a day-50 catch-up system, weapon blueprints at tiers 73 and 87, and the headline tier-100 Bellum Ultra Mosin-Nagant blueprint. The optional BlackCell upgrade adds seven Operator skins and seven blueprints and refunds 1,100 CP.

Here is the full Season 1 battle pass breakdown: the key tiers and what sits on them, the rewards actually worth climbing for, how BlackCell and the catch-up work, and the value math on whether the 1,100-CP pass pays for itself. Figures are drawn from Activision’s battle pass reveal and launch coverage (Dexerto, GameSpot, timesaver.gg, mypandaplay), as of 2 November 2026; Season 1 goes live 6 November.

Why tiers 16 and 36 change the maths for free players
Activision explicitly calls the Cronen Osprey and CSG-35 “new (and free) Base Weapons” — so you do not need the premium pass to add two new guns to your arsenal, only to climb to tiers 16 and 36. That’s a meaningful shift from seasons where meta weapons sat behind the paywall. If you’re a free player, the efficient play is to grind to tier 36 for both guns and ignore the rest; the premium pass only becomes worth it for the blueprints (tiers 73, 87, 100), the CP return and the catch-up.

The rewards that matter

Four unlocks are worth structuring your grind around.

🔫
Cronen Osprey
Tier 16 · free AR
An 882-RPM assault rifle with a 30-round magazine, free at tier 16. As a mid-rate-of-fire AR it slots into the all-round lane next to the M4, and being free means the whole player base can build it from day one.

⚡
CSG-35
Tier 36 · free SMG
A 1,200-RPM SMG with a 28-round magazine — one of the fastest fire rates in the class — also free. That RPM makes it a close-range time-to-kill threat, the headline free unlock for aggressive players.

#2

🏆
Bellum Ultra Mosin
Tier 100 · blueprint
The pass’s capstone: a premium Mosin-Nagant blueprint at tier 100, the reward that signals you finished the grind. It’s cosmetic, but it’s the flex reward the whole 100-tier climb builds toward.

Day-50 catch-up
Premium system
Premium owners who fall behind receive rewards matching the current day, up to day 50. It’s the safety net that lets you buy the pass late in the season without permanently losing the first 50 days of unlocks.

BlackCell explained

BlackCell is the premium-plus tier, and it stacks on top of the standard pass rather than replacing it. For Season 1 it adds seven Operator skins and seven weapon blueprints — including dedicated BlackCell variants of the CSG-35 and Cronen Osprey — plus the BlackCell Operator (reported as “XERO”) and the usual vault-style bonus content. The important mechanic is the refund: if you already bought the 1,100-CP battle pass and then upgrade to BlackCell, you’re refunded 1,100 COD Points, so you don’t pay twice for the base pass. That makes the decision cleaner than it looks — buying the standard pass first and upgrading later costs the same as buying BlackCell outright, so there’s no penalty for starting cheap and deciding on BlackCell once you’ve seen the skins in-game.

MW4 Season 1 battle pass: the milestone tiers worth climbing for.

Is it worth 1,100 CP?

The value case rests on three numbers. First, the CP return: like recent CoD passes, the Season 1 track hands back roughly 1,000–1,300 COD Points as you climb, so a player who completes all 100 tiers earns back close to the 1,100-CP purchase price — the pass is near self-funding if you finish it. Second, the free weapons: the Cronen Osprey and CSG-35 don’t require premium at all, so the paid pass is really buying blueprints, cosmetics, the CP return and the catch-up, not weapon access. Third, the catch-up: the day-50 system means late buyers aren’t punished, which lowers the risk of buying. Put together: if you play enough to finish the pass, 1,100 CP is close to free in practice; if you only dip in, skip premium and grind the two free guns. BlackCell at 2,400 CP (with the 1,100-CP refund applied) is the cosmetics-and-Operator play for people who want the XERO skin set.

💡
Quick verdict
The Season 1 battle pass is 1,100 COD Points for 100 tiers, with the Cronen Osprey (tier 16) and CSG-35 (tier 36) free to everyone, premium blueprints at tiers 73, 87 and the tier-100 Bellum Ultra Mosin, and a day-50 catch-up. Finishing the pass returns roughly 1,000–1,300 CP, so it’s near self-funding for regular players. BlackCell adds 7 skins + 7 blueprints and refunds your 1,100 CP if you upgrade after buying the standard pass. Free players should just grind to tier 36.

MW4 Season 1 battle pass FAQ

How much is the MW4 Season 1 battle pass?
1,100 COD Points for the 100-tier standard pass, or 2,400 COD Points for the bundle with tier skips. If you complete all tiers you earn back roughly 1,000–1,300 COD Points, so it’s close to self-funding.

Which weapons are free on the battle pass?
The Cronen Osprey assault rifle (882 RPM) at tier 16 and the CSG-35 SMG (1,200 RPM) at tier 36 are free base weapons — no premium pass needed, just reach those tiers.

What is the tier 100 reward?
The Bellum Ultra Mosin-Nagant blueprint — the premium capstone of the Season 1 pass. Weapon blueprints for the CSG-35 and Cronen Osprey also sit at tiers 73 and 87.

What does BlackCell add in Season 1?
Seven Operator skins and seven weapon blueprints (including CSG-35 and Cronen Osprey variants) plus the BlackCell Operator. If you upgrade after buying the standard pass, you’re refunded 1,100 COD Points.

How does the day-50 catch-up work?
Premium owners who fall behind receive rewards matching the current day, up to day 50. It means you can buy the pass partway through the season without permanently losing the earliest tiers.

Figures are as of 2 November 2026, from Activision’s Season 1 battle pass reveal and launch coverage (Dexerto, GameSpot, timesaver.gg, mypandaplay). Some tier placements (73/87 premium status) differed slightly between outlets; the CP-return range is estimated from recent CoD passes. We update this once the live pass is datamined in full.
