How the ratings work
An EA Sports FC overall rating (OVR) is a 0–99 number blending a player’s key stats — pace, shooting, passing, dribbling, defending and physicality — weighted for their position. EA sets launch ratings from last season’s form, then adjusts top players through the year. FC 27 rates men’s and women’s footballers on the same scale, which is why Alexia Putellas and Aitana Bonmatí sit right alongside Mbappé and Haaland. This list is the day-one top tier; expect in-form cards to climb in Ultimate Team.
