How the ratings work
NBA 2K27’s overall rating (OVR) is a single number from 0–99 that blends a player’s shooting, playmaking, defence, athleticism and more. Launch ratings are set by 2K’s ratings team based on the previous season, then updated through the year to reflect real performances — so a hot start can push a player up, and an injury can drop them. This list reflects the day-one roster; check in-game for the latest. The three 97s — SGA, Wembanyama and Jokić — headline a very tight top tier.
