The best dual-wield build in Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5 runs Cool 20 / Technical Ability 20 / Reflexes 20, a pair of Power Pistols, a Sandevistan, and the new Double Trouble perk, which lets V fire two guns at once. Each weapon deals 37.5% less damage while dual-wielding, but two pistols at 62.5% each out-damage one — and the Rank 2 Heywood Hurricane empties both automatically for a burst.
Here is the full gunslinger build — attributes, perks, weapons and cyberware — for the dual-wielding added in Update 2.5. Double Trouble is a free addition (no mods required) and has become the most popular new build since the Edgerunners 2 Update launched on 22 October 2026. The setup below is drawn from community build guides (gamestegy, AlcastHQ, G2A) built on the live 2.5 numbers, as of October 2026.
The best dual-wield build (2.5)
The recommended attributes, skill investment and gear for a Cool/Power-Pistol gunslinger.
| Slot | Pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Attributes | Cool 20 / Tech 20 / Reflexes 20 / Body 18 / Int 3 | Cool powers handguns + Double Trouble; Tech for cyberware; Reflexes for crit/mobility |
| Core perk | Double Trouble (9 Cool) | Enables dual-wielding Power Pistols/Revolvers |
| Perk 2 | Two Right Hands | Cuts hip-fire stamina use; improves recoil and spread when aiming |
| Perk 3 | Keep ’Em Comin’ | Returns stamina after kills to sustain fire |
| Perk 4 | Triple Tequila | Builds mitigation stacks that strengthen the Hurricane when spent |
| Perk 5 | Splash of Love | Makes the Hurricane burst faster and extends it at full stacks |
| Handgun branch | Focus + Deadeye | The established headshot/crit handgun perks underpin the damage |
| Weapons | La Chingona Dorada (Power Pistols) | Jackie Welles’ iconic pair; ideal dual-wield starting point |
| Alt weapon | Archangel (Power Revolver) | Heavier single-shot damage if you prefer revolvers |
| Cyberware OS | Sandevistan | Slows time for guaranteed headshots while staying mobile |
How to unlock Double Trouble
Double Trouble sits in the Cool skill tree and requires 9 points in Cool, so build toward it early if dual-wielding is your goal. It only works with Power Pistols and Revolvers — Smart (auto-targeting) and Tech (charge/penetrating) variants cannot be dual-wielded, so don’t waste a slot trying. Rank 1 enables dual-wielding at the 62.5%-per-gun damage rate; Rank 2 unlocks the Heywood Hurricane, which fires both guns automatically for one second and is the build’s burst finisher. Pair it with the four auxiliary perks — Two Right Hands, Keep ’Em Comin’, Triple Tequila and Splash of Love — and the existing Focus and Deadeye handgun perks for the crit and headshot damage that carry the build.

Payoff
The build’s rhythm is: stay mobile, trigger the Sandevistan, land dual headshots through Focus and Deadeye, and refund stamina on kills with Keep ’Em Comin’ so you never stop firing. Two Right Hands keeps the hip-fire spread manageable while you move. The burst loop is Triple Tequila → build mitigation stacks → spend them into a Splash of Love-boosted Heywood Hurricane for a faster, longer auto-fire window. It is an aggressive, in-your-face playstyle that trades Smart-gun safety for raw close-range output.
